The poem “Ruins” seems fitting for this post. I certainly thought I could hear I told you so while I was rambling through the countryside and the tatters of my former life.

We went looking for my ancestors and found many. My people are from the Yorkshire Dales which is probably another reason I feel so at home in the hills.
